FAQs about Roof Restoration on the Central Coast
How do I know if my roof needs restoration?
Fading or chalky coating, cracked or slipped tiles, rust spots on metal sheeting, and mortar crumbling off ridge caps are the clearest signs on a Central Coast roof. If your roof is 10 or more years old and hasn't been restored, or you're seeing any of these, it's worth booking an inspection with us before small problems turn into a leak or structural issue.
How often should a roof be restored on the Central Coast?
Most homes here need restoration every 10 to 15 years, compared with 15 to 20 years inland, because salt air, UV and humidity wear coatings and mortar down faster near the coast. Homes within a kilometre or two of the water often sit at the shorter end of that range. Regular gutter maintenance and prompt repairs can help stretch the interval between restorations.
Can roof restoration fix an existing leak?
Yes, in most cases. Our process includes replacing broken tiles, re bedding and re pointing ridge caps, and resealing flashings and penetrations, which are the most common sources of leaks on Central Coast roofs. If a leak is coming from a structural issue rather than the surface, we will tell you during the inspection rather than coat over a problem that needs a different fix.
Is Eagle Service Solutions licensed and insured for roof restoration?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured for every roof restoration job we take on across the Central Coast, and we will show you proof of both if you ask before work starts. Every job also carries a lifetime labour guarantee in writing, backed personally by our director, so you are covered well beyond the standard warranty period other roofers offer.
Can I change the colour of my roof during restoration?
Yes. Restoration is a good opportunity to update your roof's colour, and we can advise on shades that handle UV and heat well in Central Coast conditions, not just what looks good on the day. Metal roofs can be recoated in a new Colorbond matched colour, and tile roofs can be finished in a different tone entirely as part of the same protective coating process.
