Do I need a Level 2 electrician to install an EV charger?
You don't need a Level 2 electrician to fit the charger itself, but you do if your switchboard can't handle the extra load or your property needs a three phase upgrade to support it. What's the difference between a Level 1 and a Level 2 electrician?
A Level 1 electrician works on the network itself, tasks reserved for Ausgrid's own crews, while a Level 2 electrician like our team is accredited to work on the connection between that network and your property. Eagle Service Solutions holds Level 2 ASP accreditation, which covers your service line, meter and private power pole, not the shared network infrastructure further up the line. Yes, we install temporary builder's power for construction sites and renovations across the Central Coast, set up to Ausgrid's requirements for the duration of the project.
