Is a Colorbond roof noisy in the rain?

Not when it's installed properly. Coastal zone (200m – 1km from breaking surf): standard Colorbond is still covered, but for a reduced period — BlueScope recommends stepping up to COLORBOND® Ultra steel for the full warranty term in this band.

It's also worth knowing what can void the warranty regardless of grade: contact between the steel and copper, lead or bare galvanised steel; water pooling on the roof; debris left banked up against sheets; wet timber against the underside; steel filings left on the surface during installation; and any later roof penetration (a new vent, aerial mount, solar bracket) added without proper flashing.
